A reputed hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join their dynamic healthcare team.
ob Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and other sections as required
- Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient samples (blood, urine, and other body fluids) with accuracy
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers
- Conduct quality control procedures and ensure all test results meet required standards
- Verify, proofread, and release accurate test reports in a timely manner while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Provide information to patients and doctors regarding laboratory investigations, turnaround time (TAT), and special test preparations
- Maintain proper documentation, records, and laboratory safety standards
- Assist in the overall smooth functioning of the laboratory and adhere to quality management systems
Job Requirements:
- B.Sc. Degree in Biological Science with Biochemistry from a recognized university OR
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized university / institute
- More than 3–5 years of experience working as a Medical Laboratory Technician in a reputed laboratory (candidates with over 5 years experience are highly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to work long hours
- SLMC registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician will be an added advantage
