Senior Manager Sales | Global Travel Leader | Colombo

Are you a visionary sales leader with a passion for the travel and aviation industry? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager Sales to join our team at our Colombo Head Office.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind our revenue growth, leading a high-performing team and building strategic partnerships across the globe.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee sales plans that align with our core business objectives.
  • Growth & Budgeting: Manage annual and quarterly sales budgets, promotional plans, and develop accurate costings/proposals to drive revenue.
  • Relationship Management: Build and strengthen high-level relationships with travel agencies, airlines, and corporate clients.
  • Sales Execution: Actively promote tour packages and services while identifying new market opportunities through trend analysis.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and supervise the sales team to ensure all targets are met through regular weekly tracking and skill-building.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee debtor collections and work closely with operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Leader: You have 10–15 years of experience in travel, tourism, hospitality, or aviation, with at least 8 years in a managerial role.
  • Industry Expert: You possess a deep understanding of travel trade operations, ticketing, and tour packages.
  • GDS Proficient: You are skilled in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) for airline and travel operations.
  • Strategist: You have a proven ability to manage sales pipelines and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
  • Educated Professional: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Tourism Management (MBA preferred). An IATA Diploma or management degree is a significant plus.
  • Communicator: You possess top-tier negotiation and presentation skills.
